To take a proctored exam, certain requirements must be met. The equipment check is a series of steps designed to ensure that all exam requirements are fulfilled, including verifying the readiness of the device used for the proctored exam, confirming the identity of the test taker, and assessing the environment where the exam will be taken.
Note: The equipment check steps may vary from one exam to another, depending on the exam settings. The exam administration can choose to enable or disable certain steps.
Pre-Test Equipment Check #
To ensure that you are ready to take the online proctored exam, a button has been provided to initiate the equipment check and familiarize yourself with its steps.
To test your equipment and prepare for the online proctored exam, please follow these steps:
- In the main menu, select Assignments and navigate to My Tests.
- Click on the Check Equipment button.
Note: You must pass the equipment check steps for each proctored exam you take on the YouTestMe platform.
