How to Set Up “Did Not Show Up” Status

This article explains how to set up the “Did not show up” status for the candidates. You can use this option if there some candidates do not show up to take the test in the allotted time.

Setting up “Did not show up” status. #

To set up the “Did not show up” status, do the following:

  1. From the main menu, choose Candidates under the Testing Center menu.
  2. In the Test Attempts tab, choose the test you wish to access.
  3. Select the candidate who did not show up from the list.
  4. Click the Actions button.
  5. From the dropdown menu, select the option – Mark selected test attempts as “Did not show up”.

After that, a confirmation dialogue will appear. Click the “Yes” button to confirm the status change.

On the “All candidate” table, the status for selected candidates will be updated and changed to “Did not show up”. The candidate will not be able to take the test, and their results can be verified.

Note: Only attempts with Not attempted status can be set to Did not show up” status.

Candidate’s perspective #

If the candidate’s status is set to Did not show up, they will receive a notification instructing them to contact the instructors when attempting to take the test.

Removing the “Did not show up” status #

To remove the candidate’s status Did not show up, follow these steps:

  1. From the main menu, choose Candidates under the Testing Center menu.
  2. In the Test Attempts tab, choose the test you wish to access.
  3. Find the candidate who did not show up from the list.
  4. Click the Actions button.
  5. From the dropdown menu, select the option – Remove “Did not show up” status from selected test attempts.
  6. After that, a confirmation dialogue will appear. Click the Yes button to confirm the status change.

Once removed, the candidate’s status will become Not attempted, and the candidate can take the test.

Note: If you previously verified results to the candidate with Did not show up status, you can’t remove that candidate’s Did not show up status. Only the non-verified attempts can be reverted to the Not Attempted status.
