This article explains how to configure and enable the Job Executed notification, which informs administrators about the status of completed system jobs.
Accessing Job Executed Notification Settings
To access and configure the notification:
- Navigate the System settings
- Click the Notifications tab.
- Select the Job executed notification.
- Click the Enabled/Disabled to change the notification status.
- Click the Edit button to configure the template message.
Note: Follow the same procedure to configure both the application notification template and the email notification template, as well as to change their status.
Editing the Application Notification Template
When you click the Edit button, a pop-up window appears. To configure the Job executed application notification template:
- Select the template language.
- Modify the notification title displayed in the notification list.
- Edit the notification text- the template text displays using predefined variables. The template message contains the Job name, errors, and the time when the Job execution has finished.
- Click the Save button to save the changes.
Editing the Email Notification Template
Click the Edit button, and a pop-up window will show. To configure the Job executed email notification template message:
- Select the template language.
- Enter the mail subject name – the $jobName$ refers to the specific Job executed by the user.
- Modify the template content, which contains the Job execution status (Job name, Job description, information on when the Job started and finished, errors that occurred during Job execution, and the log).
- Click the Save button to configure the template message.
Note: The notification template parameters are displayed using variables.
Change the notification status
You can control whether the notification is active by selecting:
- Enabled — to activate the notification
- Disabled — to deactivate the notification
Note: The job execution notification is triggered after each job execution, and system administrators automatically receive the notification.
